I follow your ... I follow your instructions, but when I hold the WB button down for a few seconds "PRE" doesn't blink on? the top. Any ideas what's going on?

thanks! ^^? thanks! ^^?
Outdoors in ... Outdoors in daylight Auto would be perfectly fine. I am on auto most of the times. I change it if? I'm doing sunset, moon or some other tricky light.
So? what's the ... So? what's the proper white balance for daylight on the Nikon D7000?
hi how can i upload ... hi how can i upload raw pic? on facebook
Cheers for the ... Cheers for the reply. I'm using a Sony NEX5, I know it's not a proper DSLR. I'm fine with that. It has? a "High Contrast Monochrome" setting on it. However my friend recommends taking shots in colour and converting whatever I want to black and white during post-processing. I know I know I've alot to learn ;) (BTW he's only learning himself but knows than I!)
Yes? and no. Some ... Yes? and no. Some people think you can't fix white balance in JPEG which is 100% inaccurate. All the shots I take for Quick Shots segment I take them in JPEG and fix the WB in post processing IF needed. 90% of the times WB is pretty accurate on auto. But yes, RAW does hold the quality better. Make sure you have a software to convert RAW to JPEG so you can share them or post them. Thanks for all the kind words. :)
Your videos are ... Your videos are fantastic. I really want to learn the basics and you are teaching me? just that (including the lingo and nomenclature). Thanks a million. Now a quick question: Until of late I've been shooting in JPEG mode. My friend recommends shooting in RAW and specifically states fixing white balance issues in post processing is easier when dealing with RAW files. Do you agree or can you comment on this? Thanks.
definitely the ... definitely the best? tutorial!! :-)
Thank? you for the ... Thank? you for the awesome video! I had a question regarding the Active D-lighting feature on Nikon. When should I use it? Do you use it?
Sir Hats off to ... Sir Hats off to your tutorials, i have a D5100 and nowadays im a bit confused between autofocus and dof (aperture f-stop). they both can make things blur in a distance. can? u review them and tell them which is more appropiate...thanks a bunch

jibran yaar bundle ... jibran yaar bundle of? thanks for such nice tutorials
hello! i want to ... hello! i want to ask you for my nikon d3100. i go to menu->white balance i can find the "choose color temp."
i wanna set custom K temp? but i cant find it..
WB-PRE picture with ... WB-PRE picture with white-grey-black card is something new for me, I thought I had to use only white or grey and that on the WB_PRE picture should be only the card. So do you have such experience, that camera Nikon D7000 can recognize the colours automatically and make adjustments? It is also interesting to make a test - to shoot the white-grey-black card by auto WB regime? and check. I got significally different results from auto WB this way and when using WB-PRE with grey card. Crazy..
Auto WB works ... Auto WB works relatively well, if? there is something white in yr picture. If you shoot green landscape or similarly, auto WB cannot be sufficient.
Hi Jibran, thanks a ... Hi Jibran, thanks a lot for your videos, most of all I want to thank you for giving someone an advice that Nikon d7000 over Nikon d90 is an overkill for a beginer, and I went and? bought the d90 instead. I am so happy that I made that decision I just wanted to personally thank you for that. Please keep up the great videos with your GOOD and HONEST advices..Thumbs up mate!!!
Please go straight ... Please go straight to? the point.
i? just bought my ... i? just bought my first dslr 2 days ago i got the d3100 i found your videos very good !!! understood everything perfectly :) so the auto mode in WB does a good after all even though i still finding a lot difficult when it comes to low light situations thx a lot :)
Don't buy the gray ... Don't buy the gray card right away. Most photographers fix this in post processing. The only time I use the gray card if I were to shoot in a studio and? I wanted to get the WB right from the get go. Normally my WB is set on auto and if I need to I fix it in post processing.
do i buy? a grey ... do i buy? a grey card or do i do it my self ? i cannot find from were to buy one !!! nice video would appreciate your answer thx :)
Thank? you, Thank? you,
These are very good ... These are very good videos for newbies like myself getting into photography, but if I could offer up a little feedback it would? be that I would have liked when comparing photos on different settings that you show them side by side as apposed to one after the other so it is very easy to compare.
Other than that thank you as I am learning so much from your videos and equally am no longer affraid of my camera. lol.
Your? vids are ... Your? vids are great. You keep my inspiration and outlook growing.
thanks for your? ... thanks for your? quick answer.
U1 and U2 is ... U1 and U2 is perfect for different lighting situation. For example, sometimes the ceiling is not the same height in the same room. So it's hard to contentiously change your settings and sometimes you forget the right settings. Sometimes you're portraits but every 10 minutes someone wants a group shot and you end up changing the settings again. It's annoying. When you get the right exposure for different lighting or group, simply use U1? and U2 to quickly switch in between.
Hey Jibran, which ... Hey Jibran, which settings? would you Set on U1 and U2? i mean do you have kinda "allround" Settings which are useful for all kind of photos??
That's awesome! You ... That's awesome! You owe me a thumbs up buddy :P Don't forget to subscribe for? future videos if you want to learn more about photography. Check out other tutorials as they're pretty easy to follow.
This worked GREAT, ... This worked GREAT, thanks! I have a Nikon D90 and i kept looking at the back LCD screen when i was holding in the WB button but after watching this i saw it blinking on the smaller TOP screen and i set my? WB and got a great test pic.
